In honor of Black History Month, Macy’s caught up with renowned poet, actor & musician Saul Williams for an exclusive interview & performance to be featured in a series of in-store events. Here's what I wrote for the digital experience.
From customer acquisition landing pages to YouTube preroll ads for AT&T and DIRECTV—I wrote it all. Below are examples of my work with these brands, including millennial-targeted Spotify ads, a mission statement for an ATT.com relaunch, entertainment blogs for DIRECTV.com and more.
Two of my favorite projects as a U/X writer were developing app copy for Citi’s newest partnerships: product launches with Apple and Facebook. Both projects required an execution of skills beyond language. I collaborated on content strategy, led naming brainstorms, helped shape user flow, presented work to VPs and dove into the world of user testing, all while juggling lots of changing copy needs.
My team built a digital time machine to tell the story of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, in honor of the parade’s 90th march. The site immersed visitors in every decade of the show’s long history. 3D balloons, vivid animations, punchy copy and videos did the work of bringing unique 360° scenes to life.
I supplied the words for this Webby award-winning project. Narration, landing pages, user interface, video captions, app copy, a mobile experience and fun facts delivered in quick, edible bites.

DreamWorks Animation and Macy's paired up to create an exclusive line of products inspired by the 2016 film release, Trolls. My team at Macy’s was challenged to create a digital experience that stretched beyond selling products but also brought to life the bubbly, neon world of this upbeat pack.

Macy’s got together with the Make-A-Wish® Foundation for a campaign that aimed to do two things: raise over a million dollars for Make-A-Wish® and get kids to write letters to Santa.
